 | St. Mathurin's Mission works primarily with homeless and otherwise vulnerable young people in the Riverside and Murray Hill areas of Jacksonville, Florida.
Brother Pius, also known as The Reverend Father Richard Jacobson, OCB, is the Prior of St. Mathurin's Mission. Brother Pius has worked in outreach and street ministry for many years. He has been graced by God with a special gift for relating to the marginalized, the outcast and those persons who may be misunderstood by society at large.
Something of a fixture in Jacksonville, Brother Pius has been interviewed by local newspaper and radio reporters regarding his work.

 | Oblate Steve Franklin assists Brother Pius in his work with young people. He has made great progress in his studies lately, and is a fine addition to the Priory.
His area of especial expertise is automobile mechanics, so he is a singular blessing to many who find themselves stranded or in otherwise dire straights for lack of dependable transportation.

 | Deacon Will Buckans is a true friend to the friendless. He is a big man with a heart to match.
A fine cook and an expert in the fine art of BBQ, Deacon Will's particular charism finds expression in food preparation and distribution. Like Martha of the gospel, he does whatever is necessary to make sure that everyone is fed both in body and in spirit.
